A ladder hangs over the edge of a boat floating in the water and the bottom of the ladder is 3 feet from the water. It is raining heavily causing the water to raise at a rate of 1 foot per hour. How long will it take for the water to reach the bottom of the ladder?
Hint: The answer is not 3 hours.
